My Dickens Addiction
A Collection of Research and Resources for Dickens Lovers

About Me
I began reading the works of Charles Dickens during university. His attention to detail and his ability to make everyday life captivating, drew me in. However, it was his attempts to create social change by forcing introspection of self and society that hooked me.
Since then, I have made it my life's goal to collect and read every single one of his works. To date, I have spent nearly two decades researching, cataloguing, and devouring as many works as I can find.
If you discover any errors or omissions in my list please feel free to contact me and let me know. I created this site because I have not yet found a definitive list of works and want to share my years of research with those who are interested.
I hope you find the site helpful,
J. McDonald

Complete List of Works
A Few Notes
-
Short forms in the "Source" section correspond with the short forms in the "Brief Career Timeline"
-
For collaborative works, such as the "Extra Christmas Numbers", the names of contributing authors are listed beside the sections they contributed. If no name is listed then assume the author is Charles Dickens.
-
The "a.k.a" notes and chapter titles are present due to publishers frequently publishing only a chapter or section of a chapter and selling it as a seperate work.
-
Similarly, books titled Pearl Fishing and The World Here and There are collections of pieces from Household Words and All the Year Round that feature works by authors other than Dickens. None of the pieces in these books were written by Charles Dickens.
